Reese Fields has over 10 years of experience in personally acquiring companies and advising investors on their acquisitions of companies. As Acquisition Advisor to Cornerstone Capital Partners Corporation, Mr. Fields is a point of contact and will advise Partners in their acquisition endeavors.

Mr. Fields began his acquisition career by purchasing an upscale retailer. He financed the purchase by identifying a private investor to fund the purchase price in cash and was able to increase the EBITDA by 30% within the first year. Mr. Fields successfully sold the business within five years to a private investor. Mr. Fields also purchased or started up several other companies that were ultimately sold to strategic buyers and investors.

Most recently, Mr. Fields founded a Merger and Acquisition Advisory firm that connects accredited investors with qualified investment opportunities and businesses for sale. Mr. Fields also does business development by setting up strategic partnerships, alliances and joint ventures. A brief summary of some of Mr. Fields merger and acquisition accomplishments are listed below:

  • Sold a distribution business with four distribution hubs in three states
  • Sold a manufacturing company that manufactures its’ own branded surface reconditioning equipment and replacement parts
  • Sold a real estate services company with government and private sector customers
  • Raised equity for a specialty chemical company and also brought in the CEO who was most recently a president of a division of a $1.4B chemical company
  • Raised equity for a $40M window and door manufacturing company
  • Helped a local bank sell 65 commercial properties out of their distressed assets portfolio
  • Raised equity for a Bio-diesel plant
  • Raised equity for an oil & gas drilling program
  • Raised equity for a start-up bank in North Carolina

Mr. Fields, as an Acquisition Advisor, is a valuable addition to Cornerstone Capital Partners Corporation and will advise Partners in its efforts to acquire legacy companies that are part of Partners long-term hold strategy. Mr. Fields will focus on acquiring corporations that are well established with sales as low as $3 million and as high as $50 million with a specific focus on the manufacturing and industrial products industries; instruments and related products; electrical, electronics, and electronic equipment; fluid measurement and controls; chemicals, plastics, and synthetic resins; precision/high value-added manufacturing as well as the wholesale trade of durable goods industry.
